Type of Homeschool
There are several ways to manage homeschool. You can organize yourself as a PSA (private school), a PEA (private education association), or you can join a public homeschool charter. In California forming a PSA is just a single form and creates a school in your home. A PEA is not in the public sphere so offers more distance from the public requirements if you feel you need that. There are public homeschool charters available all over the state and they vary as to the amount of support they provide students and the amount of restrictions they place on what choices you make.
